About:
Robbers Cave State Park is one of Oklahoma's original seven parks. It is located in the scenic, hilly woodlands of the San Bois Mountains of Southeastern Oklahoma. Robbers Cave is a beautiful area filled with tall greenery, trails for hiking and horseback riding, and a lake for non-motorized boats, fishing, and swimming.
We will stay at Camp Ground 2 with a mess hall, open air tabernacle, playground, open field, 2 bathhouses, and 8 cabins.
From Dallas
Robbers Cave State Park is located ~3 hours and 15 minutes from the stake center, off US 75.
Directions
Take US Highway 75 North
At Atoka, OK continue on US Highway 69 North to McAlester
(McAlester is a large town with a lot of food options)
Take exit 91A US Highway 270 towards Wilburton
Turn left on OK State Highway 2 towards Robbers Cave State Park (At Caseys)
Pass entrance to park offices
(This area has Nature center, Swimming area, Frisby Golf, Gift Shop, etc.)
Turn left on Ash Creek Road
Turn Right on Park Road (Parallels St Hwy 2 from park entrance)
Follow signs to Group Camp 2
The cabins will have bunkbeds. Each cabin has:
Electricity inside the shelter.
An interior light.
An A/C unit.
Access to showers and bathrooms.
Participants will need to bring a sleeping bag or sheets and blanket in addition to a pillow.
